Advanced Certificate in Spoken Hindi

Programme Overview

The Advanced Certificate in Spoken Hindi is a 3-month online course designed to extend learners’ spoken Hindi competence to a level of confident, nuanced and professional communication. The course is delivered fully online and builds directly on the Intermediate Certificate in Spoken Hindi, continuing to prioritise oral communication over reading and writing the Devanagari script while introducing more complex, formal and abstract spoken tasks.

This standalone Advanced Level programme is the third and final stage of the Ziveka Campus Hindi Language and Communication pathway. It is designed for learners who have successfully completed the Intermediate Level or can demonstrate equivalent competence through placement and oral assessment. Across 6 month, learners progress towards confident, independent and context-sensitive use of Hindi.

Manage complex negotiation and conflict-resolution situations, including mediating disagreements and handling escalated complaints.
Deliver structured, extended presentations and respond coherently to follow-up questions.
Recognise and appropriately use common regional variations and idiomatic expressions across formal and informal registers.
Demonstrate a profound cultural and historical awareness of Chinese society and elite business etiquette.
Relay or summarise short exchanges between two parties with reasonable speed and accuracy.
Demonstrate Advanced-level spoken proficiency, as evidenced by a recorded final assessment task.
