Intermediate Certificate in Spoken Hindi

Programme Overview

The Intermediate Certificate in Spoken Hindi is a 3 month online course designed to extend and consolidate the practical spoken Hindi skills developed in the Foundation Certificate in Spoken Hindi. The course is delivered fully online and continues to prioritise oral communication over reading and writing the Devanagari script, moving learners from simple transactional exchanges towards more extended, nuanced and professional spoken interaction.

This standalone Intermediate Level programme is the second stage of the Ziveka Campus Hindi Language and Communication pathway. It is designed for learners who have successfully completed the Foundation Level or can demonstrate equivalent competence through placement assessment.

Narrate past experiences and describe routines or future plans coherently, using appropriate sequencing and discourse markers.
Express and justify opinions, give and ask for advice, and participate in simple discussions or debates.
Demonstrate Intermediate-level spoken proficiency, as evidenced by a recorded final assessment task
Use common idiomatic expressions and culturally appropriate responses naturally in conversation.
Manage more complex telephone and video-call interactions, including clarifying misunderstandings and confirming arrangements.
